I am starting this blog so that I can share the many books I have found to be interesting and helpful. This is not a critics blog but one that I can list books that I either have read, am reading or hope to read in the future, as well as other resources I think are important to share with others.Trishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12360751936323065951noreply@blogger.comBlogger4125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1262813110149374983.post-89322842613370703072015-01-29T18:17:00.002-08:002015-01-29T18:17:31.641-08:00Catholic Mom's is having a free book give away.
This book was written by the Creator of CatholicMom.com. There are 52 saints highlighted, one for each week. There is a scripture reading for each day and a prayer that is read each day pertaining to the saint of the week. Also each week there is an activity for you (Mother) and your family. There is also a question for the week to reflect on. I am not much of a Journal-er but this would be something good to do while reading this book.

I am enjoying this book 3 weeks in; and hope to grow with this book. I will keep you posted.
Trishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12360751936323065951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1262813110149374983.post-45655454768036122892012-01-15T20:30:00.000-08:002012-01-15T20:45:56.056-08:00Bringing Up Girls – James C. It was full of great information about today's culture and how the culture shapes girls. This is a conservative christian book but really highlights some real issues in society. I would recommend this to anyone who is raising a girl. The issues in this book aren't really discussed in main stream media. In fact, most media would dismiss most of the information in this book. Television and modern music objectify women and want girls to be older than they are.

The author James Dobson is psychologist and host of Focus on the Family.
Trishhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12360751936323065951noreply@blogger.com0
